A steel frame home is a house manufactured and assembled in a controlled factory setting, then transported to site as a complete unit. These units can be stacked on top of each and are usually craned into position; a quick process which requires minimum site time. Dependent on the customer needs these homes can be wired, plumbed and fully furnished before being transported to site. A steel frame home is NOT a mobile home; it is simply a home that is built off site, as opposed to onsite.

SkyClad Homes are built using an innovative technology involving individual wall panels constructed around a steel frame. They are extremely durable and suitable for a permanent family home. SkyClad Homes can be plastered and finished in exactly the same way as a traditional build. Log Cabins are not as weather resistant and must be treated every two years to prevent damage to the timber. Air leakage can be an issue for some log cabins if the logs are insufficiently seasoned which can negatively affect the cabin’s energy efficiency rating. Lifetimes of log cabins vary depending on the provider with some being as little as 15 years.
